Caroline Macaulay
We could not construct a new website without something to remind us of Caroline Macaulay one of our past chairman. As show manager for The Abyssinian Cat Association for a good number of years, we worked together on many occasions. Her exacting standards were sometimes hard to achieve and we did lock horns on more than one occasion but she expected nothing less from herself than she did from others. A perfectionist at heart she worked hard to make her cats, her club, her show the very best that they could be. She was in her absolute element when preparing meals for the judges, stewards and workers. As you would expect the food was always absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Sadly Caroline Macaulay passed away all too soon on Friday 23rd November 2007 My first thought on hearing the news was ‘What a loss for the Abyssinian world’, she was not only a respected judge of Abyssinians but probably more importantly a totally dedicated breeder of some of the finest Abys you are ever likely to see. Cats from her Annera lines were at the forefront of successful show winners for many years and due to Caroline’s willingness to carefully select breeders who she could trust with her precious lines, her prefix will remain in the pedigrees of winning cats for many years to come.
